The Golem is across creature of Jewish folklore. They are humanoid and traditionally made of clay, though this one was made of cut aluminum.
Originating in Prague, the golem was created as a protector for the downtrodden Jews who led in slums there. The lettering on his forehead spells out "amet" in Hebrew or "truth".This lettering is what brings the golem to life in the folklore.
